DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01- Arrive Cochin by international flight

On arrival at Cochin airport after clearing immigration formalities, you will meet our representative in arrival hall holding paging of your name. He will further assist you to your vehicle and then hotel check-in formalities. (Standard check-in time is 1200 hours)

Cochin: This magnificent Malabar coastal city has been attracting towards its shores many traders, explorers and travelers for over 600 years. The Old Fort Cochin area quench the thirst of the travelers who has historical interest with its famous Portuguese settlement Mattenchery Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace, Old colonial roads with tree line avenues. Huge Chinese fishing nets and St. Francis Church are another attraction. Here one can experience the stay of some of the best Ayurveda Resorts, home stay and traditional Kathkali Dance and traditional Martial art Kalarpayattu.

Afternoon proceed for half day sightseeing visiting Mattenchery Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace

Santa Cruz Basilica church a church built originally by the Portuguese and elevated to a Cathedral by Pope Paul IV in 1558, was spared by the Dutch conquerors who destroyed many Catholic buildings.

Evening enjoy Kathakali classical storytelling dance drama. In this form dancers tells the Hindu mythological story through dance with distinguished colorful makeup and traditional costumes.

Day 02- Cochin –Guruvayur- Calicut (approx..190 Kms/5 hours)

Post breakfast enroute visit Guruvayaur. Guruvayur is a Pilgrimage town located in South West of Kerala. It’s known for centuries-old, red-roofed Guruvayur Temple, where Hindu devotees make offerings of fruit, spices or coins, often equivalent to their own weight. On arrival visit temple and later Punnarthur Kotta “elephant camp”. Currently more than 60 elephants are there. It is of the largest elephant sanitarium in all over the world.

Continue drive to Calicut. It is known for for its grand excellence and tranquility. The Arab influence caused many locals to become Muslims; as a result the city is dotted with mosques. Calicut was the capital of Malabar in the north of Kerala when Zamorins ruled. It was the Spice Capital and very prosperous.

On arrival check in at hotel. Evening will be at leisure.

Day 03- Calicut – Wayanad (approx.. 90 Kms/ 2.5 hours)

Post breakfast visit Beypore Ship yard and Mishkhal.

Beypore ship building dates back to fifteen hundred years or more. It could even be several thousand years. Urus are wooden ships. Cargo carrying capacity is in the range of 300 to 500 tons.

Mishkhal Mosque: This 650 years old mosque is an attractive wooden four story building supported by wooden pillars and roof is made of traditional sloping –tiles. It is painted brilliantly aquamarine, blue and white. It was partially rebuilt in 1510 after being damaged by Portuguese.

The mosque does not conduct the jum’ah prayers – the special noon service on Friday that all adult, male, free Muslims are obliged to attend.

Day 04- Wayanad

Later indulge yourself in-house resort activities as follows or relax  :

Morning sessions of Yoga and Meditation.

Guests may trek to the tropical rainforests surrounding the resort: This two hour guided trek is conducted by our in house naturalist. Guests could possibly spot Nilagiri Langur, the Malabar Giant Squirrel, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Yellow Browed Bulbul besides a wide range of other species endemic to the Western Ghats and a fabulous array of butterflies.

Guests may take a leisurely walk to a water fall near the property, anytime during the day. Cycling – trails wind through the resort and the surrounding forest as well. (Please note resort activities are subject to change as per the particular resort we booked for stay for you. These are general resort activities, just to give you a rough idea about it. )

Day 05- Wayanad –Thalessary  (approx. 150 Kms/5 hours)

Post breakfast drive to Thalessary.  On arrival check in at beautiful home stay “Ayesha Manzil” facing beautiful beach. A different experience to stay at such a nice beautiful and calm location.

This beautiful colonial style two storied bunglow built in 1862. It is overlooking blue Arabian Sea making it a perfect place to stay and experience traditional hospitality along with rich culture of Kerala. It offers homely atmosphere and equipped with period antique furniture yet with modern amenities.

In the evening enjoy authentic traditional Kerala food with a cooking demonstration.

Dinner & overnight stay at Ayesha Manzil.

Day 06- Thalessary – Bekal (approx. 98 Kms/ 2.5 hours)

Post breakfast drive to Bekal. Bordering Karnataka extreme located in north Kerala “Kasargod” district is known for Bekal unspoilt honey gold beach with calmness.

On arrival check in at hotel. Later visit Bekal Fort. It comes under among the biggest fort of Kerala. It has been impeccably maintained throughout the years.

Evening will be at leisure.

Day 07- Bekal

Day will be at leisure to relax and to enjoy beautiful surrounding of this place.

Day 08- Bekal- Coorg  (approx. 100 Kms/ 2 hours)

Breakfast at hotel.

Post breakfast drive to Coorg. On arrival check in at hotel. Coorg has fantatstic area for trekking and bird watching. The climate is cool here.

On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit coffee plantation.

Evening will be at leisure to relax.

Day 09- Coorg -Kabini  (approx. 110 Kms/ 2 hours)

Post breakfast drive to Kabini. It is a treat to eyes to wildlife photographers as it provides the sightseeing of rare Black Panther and wild elephants.

Day 10Kabini 

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning enjoy boat ride at Kabini. This will give you an overview of jungle and its flora & fauna.

Return to hotel for breakfast. Afternoon enjoy jeep safari of Kabini National Park.

Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11Kabini – Mysore  (approx. 120 Kms/ 2.5 hours)

Post breakfast drive to Mysore. The city has glorious rich historical past. The city is also rich in tradition having traditional local market showcasing beautiful incense stalls, Mysore silk and local market for fruit, vegetable and flower.

On arrival check in at hotel. Later visit Sri Chamundieshwari Temple which offers spectacular view of the city.

Evening will be at leisure to relax or you can visit local market.

Day 12- Mysore – Hassan (approx. 120 Kms/ 3 hours)

Post breakfast visit Mysore Palace. It is one of India’s grandest Palace belongs to Wodeyar Maharajas. The interior is amazingly lavish with stained glass, mirrors and gaudy colors. Further Palace showcases carved wooden doors and royal family member’s beautiful paintings which for a moment alive the atmosphere for the visitors.

Later continue drive to Hassan. On arrival visit Sarvanbelagola, it is a holy place for Jain tourists. It is the largest monolithic idol of Lord Gomeethshwara in the world. It is a rare combination of beauty and serenity.

After the visit check in at hotel in Hassan. Evening will be at leisure.

Day 13- Hassan – Bengaluru  (approx. 180 Kms/ 04 hours)

Post breakfast visit Halebeedu Temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temples is outstanding example of Hindu architecture. The temple has nearly thousand figures on temple walls depicting the story of Mahabharat and Ramayan.

Later visit The Chenekesva Temple, Belur another fine example of beautiful architecture.

Continue drive to Bengaluru. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening will be at leisure to relax before final departure.

Day 14- Depart Bengaluru by international flight

Breakfast at hotel.

Post breakfast in time transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
