DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01- Arrive Delhi by international flight

On arrival at Delhi International airport after clearing immigration formalities, you will meet our representative in arrival hall holding paging of your name. He will further assist you to your vehicle and then hotel check-in formalities. (Standard check-in time is 1200 hours)

Day 02- Delhi

Post breakfast you will be proceed for combined full day city tour of Old and New Delhi. We start the tour from Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk this part of Delhi will take you in Old Mughal era, while walking through old lanes you can see big wooden carved antique doors, big havelis (mansion), narrow lanes and busy bustling life. You must taste lip smacking street food in Old Delhi market area. Then you will visit India’s largest Mosque “Jama Masjid” where at a time 25,000 can accommodate.

Post lunch visit New Delhi or Lutyens Delhi, beautifully designed by “Sir Edwin Lutyens”, drive pass India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Connaught Place. Later continue the sightseeing visiting, Humayun Tomb, the tomb was built in 1570 and was the first garden tomb made by Humayun’s son Akbar. It is Unesco world heritage site.

Conclude the sightseeing with the visit of “Qutub Minar”, the stunning red stone tower is 72.5 m high with 2.75m in diameter. It is also UNESCO site.

Evening will be at leisure to relax or to pursue independent activities.

Day 03- Delhi – Agra (204 Kms/ 4 hours)

Post breakfast drive to Agra. The land of the Taj is not only famous for the biggest allure “Taj Mahal” but also legacy of Mughals which they had left behind. Their legacy can be seen in mausoleums, tombs and magnificent fort.

Later in the evening arrive at Mehtab Bagh so that guests can enjoy sunset there. Mehtab Bagh is located on the left bank of Yamuna opposite Taj Mahal. The garden complex is approximately 300 square meters and is in straight alignment with the Taj Mahal.The excavation has revealed a huge octagonal tank on the southern periphery; Baradaris or pavilion on the East and West; a small octagonal tank at the center and a gateway at the Northern wall.

Day 04- Agra

Early morning visit beautiful Taj Mahal, during sunrise the sunrays have a magical effect with marble surface. It changes its color which creates eternal beauty (Closed on Friday).

Return to hotel for breakfast.

Afternoon Agra Fort. Red Fort, it is an UNESCO heritage site. It is a major tourist attraction from all over the world. The fort is built in red stone to make it main residence of Mughals.

Day 05- Agra- Jaipur (approx.. 265 Kms/ 6 hours)

Post breakfast drive to Jaipur Post enroute visit Fatehpur sikri. The short lived capital of Mughal emperor Akbar “Fatehpur Sikri “ is 40 kms away from Agra. Sufi Saint Salim Chisti from Sikri village predicted the birth of an heir to Mughal throne. Akbar then built this beautiful monument which blend of Mughal and Persian art.

Later continue drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel.

Day 06- Jaipur

After early breakfast proceed to visit Amber Fort enroute stop at Hawa Mahal for clicking some pictures, it is a stunning 5 story building. It was built to enable royal ladies see daily lives of the city or some function or procession as those days ladies had to cover their faces. Visit Amber Fort by shared jeep.

Afternoon visit City Palace (Royal residence) & observatory (Jantar Mantar).

Evening you will visit bustling yet colorful market showcasing beautiful handicraft, Rajasthan jewelry and shoes. You can get your hand painted with traditional Indian design of henna. It looks really awesome.

Day 07- Jaipur – Cochin by flight

Post breakfast at hotel transfer to airport to board the flight for Cochin.

Meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to airport. Cochin: This magnificent Malabar coastal city has been attracting towards its shores many traders, explorers and travelers for over 600 years. The Old Fort Cochin area quench the thirst of the travelers who has historical interest with its famous Portuguese settlement Mattenchery Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace, Old colonial roads with tree line avenues. Huge Chinese fishing nets and St. Francis Church are another attraction.

Day 08- Cochin

Post breakfast proceed for half day city sightseeing visiting Mattenchery Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch PalaceSanta Cruz Basilica church a church built originally by the Portuguese and elevated to a Cathedral by Pope Paul IV in 1558, was spared by the Dutch conquerors who destroyed many Catholic buildings. Also visit Chinese net.

Evening enjoy Kathakali dance (Classical form of dance drama) describing Indian ancient Hindu mythological stories. They present the story through beautiful dance wearing beautiful traditional outfits. It shows rich tradition and culture of India.

Day 09- Cochin –Thekkady (approx. 155 Kms/ 4-5 hours)

Breakfast at hotel.

Post breakfast drive to Thekkady. It is located at an altitude of 700 m above sea level. Thekkady holds the nature’s beauty, wildlife Sanctuary, and famous spice plantation. The place has great opportunity for mountain walk and trekking.

On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon enjoy boat ride at Lake Periyar.

Later witness Kalaripayattu show an ancient martial art indigenous to Kerala a small state in the southern India, but is known and practiced throughout the globe today.

Day 10- Thekkady – Alleppey (approx. 95 Kms/ 2 hours)

Breakfast at hotel.

Post breakfast visit spice plantation with a naturalist. This tour gives you an insight of famous spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, turmeric etc. Later drive to Alleppey. It is also known as Venice of East. It is home of vast waterways network. On arrival in Alleppey embark the houseboat, locally called Kettuvalam. Kettuvalam is traditional houseboat with knot, during assemble work of this traditional houseboat not a single nail is used, only coir ropes tied in knot to hold the whole structure.

On arrival at Alleppey Jetty embark the houseboat. The cruise will take you through small water canals and while cruising you can see small villages and witness village people and their daily routine.

Lunch, Dinner & overnight onboard.

Day 11- Alleppey – Kovalam (approx. 180 Kms/ 4 .5 hours)

Breakfast on houseboat .

Post breakfast disembark the houseboat and drive to Kovalam. Kovalam: is located approx. 16 Kms/ ½ an hour drive from Trivandrum. It is famous for its beautiful beaches, Ayurveda resorts, lighthouse and surrounded small fisherman villages.

On arrival check in at hotel. Evening will be at leisure to relax.

Day 12- Kovalam

Post breakfast excursion to Kanyakumari en-route visit Padamnabhpuram Palace and Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial.

Padamnabhpuram Palace: It is most top most attraction of Kanyakumari and actually a teakwood Palace. The beauty of this Palace is unparalleled with its stunning interiors, elaborately carved columns and Belgian mirrors. It leaves the unforgettable experience in visitor’s heart and mind,

Vivekanand Rock Memorial, it is the famous place where India’s most loved Saint Swami Vivekananad attained the enlightment. Evening enjoy the beautiful sunset view of Kanyakumari.

Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 13  Kovalam-Trivandrum airport (16 Kms/ ½ hour)

              Depart Trivandrum by international flight

Breakfast at hotel.

Post breakfast you will be transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
